Ways to Pay for a Mini Split Installation and What Mini Split Reef Offers

Updated September 2026

Mini splits are heat pumps that cool through brutal Central Texas summers and handle mild winters without a furnace. Most local HVAC contractors charge $3,000 to $6,000 per zone on a custom quote and require an in home sales visit. Mini Split Reef takes a different approach with a flat rate that covers everything and no surprises.

We post a flat rate of $2,000 per mini split installed, however many units. That includes equipment, labor, line set, standard electrical, refrigerant, testing, cleanup, and even a Home Depot run for touch up paint. There are no trip fees or surprise add ons. Honest exceptions are stated upfront: a very long line set, a panel upgrade the house already needed, or unusually difficult mounting. Property managers, landlords, and multi unit owners receive a volume discount off the $2,000 per unit rate. Our service area covers Austin and the I-35 corridor, north to Waco and Killeen, south to San Antonio, at the same flat rate.

The Flat Rate Model

Instead of a custom quote that can vary wildly, Mini Split Reef charges a flat $2,000 per unit. This price includes the mini split equipment, full installation labor, line set up to standard length, standard electrical work, refrigerant, system testing, and complete cleanup. We even cover a trip to Home Depot for touch up paint if needed. There are no trip fees, no additional charges for multiple units, and no hidden costs. The only exceptions are situations we identify before work begins: a very long line set, a panel upgrade that the house already needed, or unusually difficult mounting. Those are discussed and priced upfront, never after the job starts.

Volume Discount for Property Managers and Landlords

If you manage multiple properties or own a multi unit building, you qualify for a volume discount off the $2,000 per unit rate. This makes it easier to budget for ductless installations across several units without the hassle of individual quotes. The discount applies to any number of units, and the same flat rate and inclusions remain in place. Contact us to discuss your project and we will provide the discounted pricing.

Payment Methods and Financing Options

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, checks, and bank transfers for your convenience. For larger projects, third party financing may be available through providers that offer flexible terms. We do not mark up financing or push any specific lender. If you are interested in financing, we can share the options we have seen work for other customers. You can also pay by cash or personal check. There are no processing fees for credit cards. Simply choose the method that works best for your budget.
