Mini Split Installation in Circle C Ranch, Austin, Flat $2,000 Per Unit
Updated September 2026
Circle C Ranch homes were built for families, not for the way people actually use square footage now. The bonus room over the garage bakes by two in the afternoon, the casita out back never got tied into the main system, and the sunroom addition off the back of a nineties build was clearly never in the original duct plan. Travis County heat does not negotiate, and a window unit in a room with vaulted ceilings is a losing argument. A ductless mini split fixes the specific room without you touching a single duct.
Mini Split Reef charges a flat $2,000 per mini split installed, however many units you need. That covers the equipment, the labor, the line set, standard electrical, refrigerant, testing, cleanup, and a Home Depot run for touch up paint so the wall looks right when we leave. No trip fee to come out to Circle C, no add on line items after the fact. Ductless installs in Central Texas commonly run $3,000 to $6,000 per zone on a custom quote, and most local HVAC contractors are quote based and want an in home sales visit before they will say a number out loud. We say the number first.
What the $2,000 Flat Rate Covers
One price, one unit installed, start to finish. That includes the mini split equipment itself, all labor, the line set, standard electrical, refrigerant charge, full system testing, and cleanup of the work area. It also includes a Home Depot run for touch up paint, because drilling a line set penetration through a wall is not a clean operation and we would rather fix it than mention it on the way out. There are no trip fees and no surprise add ons. There are three honest exceptions, and you hear them before we start, never after: a very long line set, a panel upgrade the house already needed, or unusually difficult mounting. If your job hits one of those, we tell you at the walkthrough while you can still say no.
Typical Circle C Ranch Jobs
The most common call in Circle C is a garage conversion or a room over the garage that the central system was never sized to reach. Close behind that are back casitas and guest suites, home offices carved out of a formal dining room, and additions on older homes in the area that were built without ductwork running to them. Mini splits are heat pumps, so the same unit that carries a west facing room through a brutal Central Texas summer also handles our mild winters without a furnace, which matters in a detached casita where running gas is not on the table. Multiple rooms means multiple units at $2,000 each, and the rate does not change because the job got bigger.
Property Managers, Landlords and Multi Unit Owners
If you manage rentals, duplexes, short term units or a portfolio around Circle C and southwest Austin, you get a volume discount off the $2,000 per unit rate. Flat pricing is the part property managers tend to care about most, because it means you can budget a building without scheduling five separate in home sales visits and reconciling five different quote formats. Tell us how many units and where they are, and we will price the whole thing at once. Same flat rate structure applies across our full service area, so a Circle C fourplex and a property in Killeen are quoted the same way.

Straight answers
How much does a mini split cost in Circle C Ranch, Austin?
$2,000 per mini split installed, flat. That price includes equipment, labor, line set, standard electrical, refrigerant, testing, cleanup and touch up paint. If you need three units, it is $2,000 each. For comparison, ductless installs in Central Texas commonly run $3,000 to $6,000 per zone on a custom quote.
What would make my job cost more than $2,000?
Three things, and you hear about them at the walkthrough rather than on the invoice: a very long line set, a panel upgrade your house already needed regardless of this project, or unusually difficult mounting. Most Circle C homes do not hit any of these. If yours does, we explain it before any work begins.
Will a mini split heat my casita in the winter too?
Yes. Mini splits are heat pumps. They cool through brutal Central Texas summers and handle our mild winters without a furnace, which is why they work well in garages, casitas and additions where extending ductwork or running gas is impractical.
Do you only work in Circle C Ranch?
No. We cover Austin and the I-35 corridor, north to Waco and Killeen and south to San Antonio. The flat $2,000 rate is the same corridor wide, and there is no trip fee based on where you are in that area.
