Alayon's Repairs Service vs Mini Split Reef
Updated September 2026
Alayon's Repairs Service is a licensed air conditioning contractor working in the Kyle area. This page is not a review and it does not rate their work. It simply lays two pricing models side by side: the custom quote approach most Central Texas HVAC companies use, and the posted flat rate Mini Split Reef publishes for ductless mini split installation.

The Mini Split Reef model
The Reef model: $2,000 per zone, installed, everything standard included. $4,000 for two zones, $6,000 for three. You can compare that number against any bid you collect without letting anyone into the house first.
How the local market usually prices
Across the I-35 corridor the common approach is individually priced jobs. Ductless installs in Central Texas commonly run $3,000 to $6,000 per zone on a custom quote. A posted flat rate removes that uncertainty: the price is the price, published for everyone.
Mini splits in Kyle
Kyle sits squarely on our I-35 service corridor, and the flat rate there is the same as everywhere else we work: $2,000 per zone. No trip fee for being south of the river, no distance surcharge.
Two pricing models
| Factor | Mini Split Reef | The usual quote model |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $2,000 per zone installed, materials and labor. Two zones $4,000, three zones $6,000 | $3,000 to $6,000 per zone, set by custom quote |
| How you learn the price | Posted publicly before any contact | Usually after an in home estimate visit |
| Extras | Exceptions named up front: very long line set, panel upgrade the house already needed, difficult mounting | Itemized in the individual quote |
| Licensing | Installs performed by licensed contractors | Licensed contractors, verifiable on the TDLR roster |
The right hand column describes the common custom quote pattern in the Central Texas market generally. It is not a statement of Alayon's Repairs Service's prices or terms.
Straight answers
Do you charge more for two or three zones?
The rate is linear. One zone is $2,000, two zones are $4,000, three zones are $6,000. Multi zone equipment differences are absorbed into the flat rate.
Do you badmouth other contractors to win jobs?
No. Licensed competitors are legitimate businesses and many do excellent work. This page compares pricing models only, and the only facts stated about the other company come from the public state license roster and, where shown, their own website.
Is the $2,000 per zone price really all in?
Yes. Equipment, labor, line set, standard electrical, refrigerant, testing, and cleanup are included. The only exceptions, named before work starts, are a very long line set, a panel upgrade the house already needed, or unusually difficult mounting.
