Understanding Mini Split Line Sets and Pricing
Updated September 2026
At Mini Split Reef, we offer a flat rate of $2,000 per mini split installed, with no surprise add-ons or trip fees. Our price includes equipment, labor, line set, standard electrical, refrigerant, testing, cleanup, and even a Home Depot run for touch-up paint.
As a volume discount, property managers, landlords, and multi-unit owners can receive a discounted rate off the $2,000 per unit price. We believe in transparency and honesty, which is why we clearly state our exceptions upfront: a very long line set, a panel upgrade the house already needed, or unusually difficult mounting may require additional costs.
What is a Mini Split Line Set?
A mini split line set is the tubing that connects the outdoor unit to the indoor unit, allowing the system to function as a heat pump. This line set is a critical component of the mini split system, as it enables the transfer of refrigerant between the units.
Why Does Line Set Length Matter for Pricing?
The length of the line set can impact the pricing of a mini split installation. While our flat rate includes a standard line set, a very long line set may require additional materials and labor, resulting in extra costs. We will always discuss these potential additional costs with you upfront, so you can plan accordingly.

We serve the Austin area and the I-35 corridor, from Waco and Killeen in the north to San Antonio in the south. Our flat rate of $2,000 per mini split installed remains the same throughout our service area, providing you with consistent and predictable pricing.
